Invite your Legislator to the Digital Equity Day Briefing!

Legislative briefings are an important way for legislators to hear directly from individuals directly affected by the issues, experts, and people working in the field. Briefings help lawmakers get a better understanding of the details of a bill and its real life impact. Given the importance of having affordable and reliable high-speed internet and access to online opportunities like telehealth, we want as many legislators as possible at the briefing. We know that legislators are more likely to come if they know people from their districts will be there.

Make your voice heard! Register for the upcoming briefing and take a moment to invite your state legislators! Send them an email or phone call inviting your legislators to join us and learn more about digital equity.

Sample Subject: Constituent Requesting to Meet on Digital Equity and Internet Affordability Issues

My name is ___[Your Full Name]___, and I am a resident of ____[Your City/Town]___. I am reaching out to request to meet with you, either on Zoom or in person in the district, to discuss the urgent need to improve digital equity in Massachusetts. 

As your constituent, I believe it is critical that our Commonwealth ensures everyone, especially low-income families and underserved communities, has affordable, reliable access to high-speed internet. I plan to participate in the Digital Equity Legislative Briefing on Wednesday, June 25th at 11 am, and I hope you or a member of your team will be able to attend.
